  1. View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the CD release of This Is The Front Line on Discogs.
  2. This single CD has been cut-down from a 4CD box set, also worth investigating, but even so assembles an astonishing array of talent, many featuring the rhythm section of Sly and Robbie, and serves a similar purpose as the 12" vinyl sampler that was available at the time for 69p, though sadly this CD does not retail at quite the same price/5(4).
  3. Label: Front Line (2) - FRONTCD2,Virgin - 2 1 • Format: CD Compilation • Country: Europe • Genre: Reggae • Style: Roots Reggae, Dub, Dub Poetry4/5(8).
  4. Jan 08,  · A newly charged Front Line Assembly returned in late after a two year hiatus to deliver the highly anticipated ''Maniacal'' single. One of the original FLA members, Rhys Fulber (formerly of Fear Factory and Conjure One), has joined forces with Bill Leeb once again to deliver a straight up Industrial rebellion to the Futurepop ruled world of electronic music/5(53).
  5. Civilization didn't sell very well, and since then Bill and co have returned to a much harder industrial style (still with some d'n'b elements). However of the 4 albums (including 2 compilations) I have picked to buy, this album is by far my favourite - although Implode is a very, very, close second!/5(8).
  6. referencing Civilization, CD, Album, M/Print, SPV CD The album of the massively anticipated get-together of Leeb and Fulber has resulted in an album very much in line with the previous single offering, a fusion of styles, with no song sounding the same.
  7. This was a great introduction to the world of Virgin 'Front Line' reggae. All classic roots music with a dash of soul and funk thrown in for good measure (as was popular at the time). Pity it was never re-released on CD but you can find all the tracks on CD from the artists' albums.
  8. Front Line Assembly's last album, Epitaph, received decent reviews in the press, but it split the fan felt it was merely the continued development of the band, some felt it was limp and incorporated too much of Delirium's sound (the band's successful off-shoot). With original member Rhys Fulber coming back to the group, the stage is set for a return to form.
  9. This four-CD box set showcases much of the formidable talent at Front Line's disposal, and the track listing reads like an encyclopedia of roots' greatest acts -- sublime vocal groups, phenomenal solo artists, and top-ranking toasters. The resulting records were mostly masterful, and, in many cases, masterpieces.
