Jan 09,  · "Stoned & Dethroned" is probably the best distillation of the Jesus and Mary Chain sound that Jim and William Reid managed over the course of all of the group's albums (and the multiple b-side compilations) they released. This album expressed their songwriting as clearly as possible, without too much stylistic distraction.4/5().
